Today, we stand together, united not just by shared ideals, but by a profound commitment to DEMOCRACY and PEACE- This march TO FIX THE DEMOCRACY is not merely a journey; it is a DECLARATION—a TESTAMENT to the enduring power of HUMANIST VALUE. On behalf of the Worldwide Association of Civil Associations Unidas (AMACS UNIDAS), I bring you a message of hope, a vision for a brighter tomorrow under the banner of the United Nations Agenda 2030, embraced by 193 nations.

Rick, you are a humanist, and so am I. Humanists form the heart of the United Nations, embodying the dreams of 8 billion people. While you have marched tirelessly for democracy across the United States, I have walked for peace and love across Latin America. Through organizations like CECANI Latino America, ANUES, EMBAJADORES por la PAZ, IMPULSARTE del SENADO de la REPUBLICA and many others an EL ESTADO de MEXICO, TOLUCA, IWe have connected with COUNTLESS COMMUNITIES.
Our meeting was not chance—it was destiny, a milagro, bringing together two journeys fueled by the same purpose: the pursuit of unity and a better future.
The Challenges of Democracy in the Modern World
Let us pause and reflect on the state of democracy today. Technology, while transformative, has been weaponized against democratic ideals. We have witnessed manipulation through platforms like Cambridge Analytica, the divisiveness of Brexit, and the insurrection in Michigan. False narratives and digital interference have sown distrust, undermining constitutions and the rule of law.
Yet we, as humanists, reject division. We reject exclusion. We believe in equality—one person, one vote. Together, we envision a democracy that respects every individual, every community, and every nation.
The Narcissistic Threat to Humanity
In these times, it is crucial to recognize the dangers we face. As highlighted by Marie-France Hirigoyen in her pivotal work Narcissists Have Taken Power, narcissism is eroding empathy and unity. Narcissists do not care for humanity; they exploit it. They thrive on division and discord, but their values are not ours.
We, as humanists, are the antidote. We advocate for peace, love, and inclusion because these are the principles that bind humanity together.
A Call for Peaceful Action
This is not a time for chaos or confrontation. It is a time for intelligence and peaceful actions. We believe in the strength of constitutions and democratic institutions. We trust in the wisdom of the people and their representatives to uphold justice and inclusion.
Let us reject leaders and ideologies that seek to exclude. Let us remind the world that true strength lies in unity, in dialogue, and in respect for the diversity of all humankind.
2025: Raising the Banner of Peace
As we look to 2025, let us resolve to march forward together. Let us raise our arms, place symbols of peace on our hearts, and carry hope as our banner. This is our moment to create a future built on justice, love, and equality.
